Business
Expression explores worship in everyday life. Many individuals expression their “worship in everyday life” through a variety of business professions. Rich Marshall, leadership expert and corporate training has taught us that the designation we have made between ministry and secular or marketplace positions is not Biblical. All things are spiritual, thus what you do in the marketplace is your ministry. Romans 12:4-8 says this:
Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
We encourage those who have a gift for business (e.g., you may have built a successful business; you may be able to provide assistance to someone looking to start a business, etc.) to apply as a vendor at this year’s Expression. Let God surprise you with how He uses you to minister to others in the body of Christ who have entrepreneurial talents but need the encouragement and “know-how” to get started.
